CiteRight's algorithms will create a citation out of a reference that has been downloaded into the system. However, you can always modify how that reference appears. When you modify a reference, you're changing how it will look throughout the document you're working in.
Note. Do not make changes to references directly in the body of the document. Any changes you make will revert when the reference refreshes. Instead, always make changes using the method below.
In your Microsoft Word document, select the reference you want to modify. Click the Modify button in the preview pane.
A slide out pane will appear and allow you change the appearance of the citation, the short form and the pinpoint type. Once you have edited the item, select Save.
Your changes will automatically be applied through out your document. Learn more here.
Please note, that you can always revert your changes to its original appearance by selecting the Revert button in the Modify pane.
