Before reading, check out: How do I cite a case?
Overview
CiteRight will apply a citation format based on the available information from the source you saved it from by default. However, you can always modify how that reference appears throughout your document after it is saved. In this article, you'll learn how you can modify various pieces of your reference.
Click Modify in the case preview pane to change how a reference appears in your document
1. In your Microsoft Word document, select the reference you want to modify. Click the Modify button in the preview pane.
2. A side panel will appear and allow you to change the appearance of the citation, the short form, and/or the pinpoint type. Once you have edited the item, select Save.
Your changes will automatically be applied throughout your document. You can always revert your changes to its original appearance by selecting the Revert button in the Modify panel.
Note. Do not make changes to references directly in the body of the document. Any changes you make will revert when the reference refreshes. Instead, always make changes using the method below.
